Here’s the updated, polished version for IMEX Frankfurt 2026 in the same professional press-release style:
With just over two weeks to go until IMEX Frankfurt 2026, around 4,000 global buyers are expected to attend the show at Messe Frankfurt. With buyer, exhibitor and meeting numbers tracking ahead of previous editions, demand for the event – taking place May 13–15, 2026 – reflects the continued growth, confidence and commercial momentum within the global meetings and events industry.
Carina Bauer, CEO of the IMEX Group, comments:
“Face-to-face events remain one of the most powerful ways to build meaningful business relationships. Industry research shows that a significant share of new customers is still generated through in-person meetings, and IMEX Frankfurt is carefully designed to make those connections happen. The strong demand we’re seeing from buyers and suppliers alike underlines just how eager the industry is to meet, trade and collaborate as we move further into 2026.”
A wide-ranging global supplier line-up representing destinations, venues, hotels and event technology providers will be present, with most regions expanding their footprint compared to the previous year. Notable growth is expected from North America, the Caribbean, Asia and Africa, highlighting renewed investment and long-term confidence in international business events.
The United States continues to strengthen its presence, with more than 20 destinations now participating under the Brand USA pavilion, alongside both returning and first-time exhibitors.
Asia remains a strong growth region, with Beijing returning and Ho Chi Minh City joining the show. Indonesia and Japan are also increasing their space, with Tokyo hosting its own stand.
Across Africa, several destinations are expanding their presence. Senegal and Zambia are among the new exhibitors, while Tanzania returns with one of its largest booths to date. Rwanda marks over a decade since the launch of its convention bureau, which was first introduced to the global industry at IMEX Frankfurt.
Many European destinations are also increasing their investment, including Italy, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Istanbul, reflecting strong demand for meetings and events across the region.
All major global hotel groups will be exhibiting, including Accor, Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, Marriott, Radisson and Wyndham, showcasing their expanding meetings and events portfolios.
The technology zone continues to grow, presenting solutions for payments, event platforms, content management, virtual and hybrid events, and attendee engagement. New exhibitors such as TranslateABLE, Swoogo and OUispeak will join the tech showcase in 2026.
IMEX Frankfurt’s global audience makes it a key stage for major industry announcements and new research. In 2026, attendees can expect updates and insights from organisations including Canada, Cvent, EIC, Gothenburg, ICCA, Los Cabos, Net Zero Carbon Events, PCMA and Thailand, among others.
These launches will highlight emerging trends, sustainability initiatives, technology innovation and new destination strategies shaping the future of the global meetings and events sector.
